Philosophy and Approach to Therapy
Dr. Marlowe believes in a wholelistic approach to therapy and sees a connection between the mind, body, and spirit. From both a vantage point of personal and professional experience, Dr. Marlowe believes in the process of healing, growth, and change. She views the process as a personal opportunity and global responsibility.
Dr. Marlowe supports clients in identifying their strengths and clarifying problems and goals. She uses an eclectic approach to psychotherapy including Jungian theory, Grief orientation, Behavioral and Cognitive theories, Family orientation, Gestalt theory, and Pyschoeducation.
Dr. Marlowe helps clients to look at patterns that are keeping them from moving forward. “We work together to understand the connections between your feelings, thoughts, beliefs and values, relational experiences, family and societal norms, and factors such as gender, age, ethnicity, and cultural influences. Together we seek to create hope and new possibilities for dealing with your concerns,” says Dr. Marlowe.
